Our photos from Alice's Metropole Market and the next three dates

The first Metropole Market of 2018 took place this weekend in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth.

The popular series of markets made a return on Sunday 27th May and this time had an Alice in Wonderland theme. Part of the free event included a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, complete with all the characters. We entered Alice’s peculiar fantasy world of weirdly wonderful and whimsical wonders. There were also engaging street performances and lyrically talented musicians performing throughout the day.

Market stalls lined Holdenhurst Road with all manner of goods, gifts and a fantastic selection of food stalls. From noodles to Yorkshire pudding wraps, falafel to artisan chocolate.

The markets proved to be a great success in 2017 and the first market of 2018 certainly brought out the crowds. With the sunshine in abundance, there was a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.
