Bournemouth Air Festival is back for 2021 , the dates for your diary are 2nd - 5th September.


Bournemouth plays host to the UK's largest, free, air festival. Expect amazing displays on land, in the air and on the water too. All of the action takes place over our wonderful sandy beaches.


The 2021 line up will be announced nearer the date. In previous years we have enjoyed: 

RAF Typhoon
The mighty Typhoon ripping through Bournemouth’s skies once again

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF)
Last year we welcomed the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster

Ultimate Warbird Flights
Bournemouth Air Festival welcomed for the first time four of the most iconic Warbirds - the Buchon, Spitfire, P-47D Thunderbolt and Mustang.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIX G-RRGN
Widely known as an ambassador for Rolls Royce the Supermarine Spitfire is often used to link Rolls Royce proud heritage with the technology of today.

RAF HC2 Chinook
The unmistakable "wocka wocka" of the Chinook is one of the most distinctive sounds in the sky and we were delighted to welcome the team back to the festival again last year.

Canadair T-33 Silver Star
From the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron (NAFHS) this aricraft is a living legacy of the early jet age

Super Pitts Muscle Plane
Back by popular demand, Rich Goodwin in his Muscle Biplane Pitts S2S G-EWIZ took the skies by storm last year with his daredevil skill and spectacular displays.

Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers
Thrilling aerobatic stunts in the skies above Bournemouth again last year.

RN Black Cat Helicopter Display Team
The Black Cats team were back - last seen in the skies of Bournemouth in 2016! In 2019 the Augusta Westland 159 Wildcat Maritime Attack helicopter displayed for Bournemouth audiences

P-8A Poseidon Surveillance Aircraft
This specific Boeing plane has been developed for the U.S. Navy (USN) and modified from the Boeing 737-800. Powered by two turbo fans and with a wingspan of nearly 40metres it was an incredible sight as it 'flew past' Bournemouth

Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team
Another amazing spectacle, as the British Army’s Tigers dropped onto Bournemouth Beach again last year.

MiG15 Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15UTI is a fighter trainer aircraft with a wingspan of more than 10 metres

Blades Aerobatic Display Team
Back to wow us with their breath-taking skill The Blades are the only civilian team to display at every Bournemouth Air Festival

Hawker Sea Fury T20
The Norwegian Spitfire Foundation operate this powerful fight aircraft designed and manufactured by Hawker Aircraft

Strikemaster Pair
The British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) Strikemaster Mk82A was back roaring over the Bournemouth coastline last year.

Night Air Displays
Bournemouth Air Festival wouldn’t be the award-winning event it is without its incredible Night Air dusk displays

"Otto" the Helicopter
Complete with spectacular pyrotechnic effects, "Otto" once again added explosive entertainment to the evenings

Red Devils Parachute Regimental Freefall Team
Formed in 1964 ‘The Red Devils’ are the official parachute display team of both The Parachute Regiment (The Paras) and the British Army.
