The world’s largest sport and music festival attracts players, spectators and festival goers alike to the picturesque surroundings of Bournemouth Sports Club for an action packed weekend of superb sport, live music and awe-inspiring entertainment.
By day, the 2016 Festival will see over 5,000 players competing in a wide variety of social and competitive tournaments in Rugby, Netball, Dodgeball and Hockey. The elite competitions welcome some of the best national touring sides including a few International stars and are truly worth a watch!
That said, Bournemouth 7s is much more than a sports festival. Famed for its unique atmosphere, the festival offers something for everyone whether they be 5 or 85! Alongside the action packed sports tournaments, there is a multitude of entertainment offerings including 10 themed Festival Arenas, a reinvigorated Family Zone, live music acts, a big screen TV showing the best in live sport and a range of competitions and challenges delivered by some of the UK’s most famous brands.
2016 also sees the launch of a brand new Family Day, on Sun 29th May, which brings together some exciting partners including AFC Bournemouth’s Junior Cherries, the RAF and BH Live to offer a memorable experience for the younger festival goer. The Bournemouth 7s team are constantly striving to build on the success of the festival and have added some exciting new arenas to some firmly established festival favourites this year. The famous Tuborg Beer Tent, home of the best party onsite returns with a facelift whilst the relaxing Somersby Cider Garden looks set to build on the success of its festival launch in 2015. The exclusive V.VIP Lounge, complete with waitress table service, has a new home and a brand new feel which will ensure an amazing weekend for all of the assembled guests and celebrities whilst the VIP Players Arena hosts the funniest party on the festival site all weekend. There are also exciting new additions with a brand new pitchside Bulmers Summer Arena, a new courtside Viper 10 Players Lounge for the netballers, a UK Garage tent and a cocktail garden with a true street vibe!
