The West Cliff track is slightly shorter in length at 5ft 6inches, the track at West Cliff Railway and the original passenger cars could carry sixteen passengers, as opposed to twelve in the East Cliff cars.

The West Cliff Railway was the first to receive the new aluminium passenger cars in the 1960s.

At the other end of the beach you'll also find the East Cliff Lift (currently closed) and the Fisherman's Walk Cliff Lift
