Milton Jones - Milton: Impossible

Event Date: Thurs 2 April 2020 - 8pm

Comedian Milton Jones will bring his hilarious Milton: Impossible to Bournemouth in April 2020.

In his latest tour, Milton will reveal the truth about being an international spy, before being given a disappointing new identity which forced him to appear on Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo. Plus there’s a love story twist and lots of other funny “nonsense”.

Milton brought the show to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, selling out to rave reviews.

In the interview here, filmed backstage at the festival, the stand up reveals what fans coming to the gigs can expect and what he hopes they take away from the experience.

The award-winning Jones became known for his sharp puns and one-liner style of comedy, which he delivers in a deadpan, slightly neurotic style.

In 1996 he won the Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and also heads up various BBC Radio 4 shows. One of them, Another Case of Milton Jones was awarded silver in the Best Comedy category at the 30th Sony Radio Academy Awards.

In addition, Milton Jones has become a recurring guest panellist on Mock the Week, and a published author, penning the surrealist, partially autobiographical novel Where Do Comedians Go When They Die?: Journeys of a Stand-Up in 2009.

He’s also appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Lee Mack’s All Star Cast and Live at the Apollo, making him a memorable face of comedy on UK screens, as well as acquiring several TV writing credits, including contributions to comedy series Not Going Out.
