Christmas Lights at Kingston Lacy

Event Date: Every Wed to Sun from 30 November - 30 December

Wrap up warm and see Kingston Lacy house and garden bathed in light this December with a new illuminated experience transforming the Formal Garden as darkness falls.

New for 2018 - This year the light display will take inspiration from the stories of several members of the Bankes family. For the first time the stunning display along the iconic Lime Avenue will feature a new and interactive experience. Have fun pushing the buttons to light each tree with a bold colour to create your own light display.

Enjoy new and enchanting vistas as Cedar Avenue and the Japanese Garden are lit for the first time. Be transported to autumn in Japan with a visit to the Acer Glade where rich reds and warm oranges will be complimented by hanging Japanese Lanterns. Imagine yourself joining William John Bankes on his travels as you walk to the Obelisk, lit with hot pinks and bright oranges inspired by the desert sunsets of Egypt.

Look out for new displays in the Rose Garden and Fernery where the lights will take inspiration from the 40 varieties of snowdrop that appear here in the spring.

The illuminated trail is approximately a 30 minute walk.

The trail is wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be pre-booked from Visitor Reception in advance - please call 01202 843752 to reserve.

This event is free to attend but normal property admission applies for non National Trust members. Pre-booking for the illuminations is not required, however if you would like to visit the house before or after your walk, please remember to book your free house entry ticket in advance.
