Free Park Yoga is back in Bournemouth this Summer

Free Park Yoga is returning to Bournemouth every Sunday this summer in Bournemouth Gardens as well as a new venue launched at Kingfisher Barn on the Stour Valley Nature Reserve.

Yoga is a great way to relax, free your mind, improve flexibility and build strength, and what better way to do this than in one of the beautiful local parks?

  • Bournemouth Gardens classes are every Sunday morning from 10:00-11:00, opposite the Town Hall from the 19th May – 1st September.
  • Sessions at Kingfisher Barn on the Stour Valley Nature Reserve will run from 9:00-10:00 from the 5th May – 1st September.

Everyone is invited, including children, and all abilities are welcome. There’s no need to book, just bring your mat or towel, some water and be part of something great.

Bournemouth Gardens Yoga instructor, Nina Fox, said, “if you’re looking to experience yoga for the first time and enjoy the natural surroundings then we would love to see you there. It’s great to see such a diverse community coming together to be part of this great, unique project.”

Lynnette Parr who was a regular throughout 2018 said, “it’s the perfect way to start a Sunday morning. I come away full of energy and ready for the week ahead.”

Park Yoga is kindly supported by the Fine Foundation and Bournemouth Parks Foundation. Cathi Farrer, Bournemouth Parks Foundation’s Manager said, “Park Yoga has been a great success for the past two years with up-to 150 people joining us for some sessions, we hope to see some new and familiar faces, connecting with our parks by enjoying outside yoga. We’re really excited to be launching a new venue this year at Kingfisher Barn. There’s also lots more locations across the South West starting this year, it’s great to see the initiative expanding so well.”
