The FemAle Brewery Experience Day will give women from across the county expert insights into the brewing process, including the role women have traditionally played in the industry. Led by one of the Brewhouse & Kitchen’s own Head Brewer, there will also be an opportunity for women to take part in brewing a limited edition International Women’s Day Beer. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided, with numerous beer tasting in between. Furthermore, attendees will be invited back to taste the beer they have helped brew with their friends.
John Gleeson, Operations Manager for Brewhouse & Kitchen, said: “Most people are unaware that women were traditionally the brewers in many societies. They are responsible for the art of brewing today and on International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate their contributions to the industry. We invite ladies to come and find out more about the brewing process, plus sample some of our dishes and brews. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.”
The Dorset based Brewhouse & Kitchens are part of the nationally acclaimed pub group. Passionate about the traditional brewing process, each Brewhouse & Kitchen brews their own unique craft beers in large on-site copper vats. Providing traditional pub classics with a twist, every dish on their menu is also matched to a particular style and flavour of beer. Having grown rapidly in recent years, the grown-up pub group has twenty establishments across the UK.
