The premier clothes swapping event, hosted in conjunction with Dorset Women in Business, will also include a talk on colour and style courtesy of Sandra Attrill from House of Colour, while organiser Kerry Pocock from Make a Space will explain how to declutter your wardrobe.
Louise Jones, Community Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning, said, “We can’t wait for the event and so pleased that they have chosen Lewis-Manning to support. This event is aimed at those women who want to combine glamour and fun, while being eco-friendly and saving some money. Not only that they will be supporting patient care at the hospice.”
The idea of the Swishing event is that for every two items you bring you will get a token to swap for one other item, with a maximum of five tokens per person. You can also buy items if you haven't got anything to swap or see something else you want. Tickets are just £5 and can be bought in advance, doors open at 5.45pm and the talk starts at 6.30pm with the swap afterwards.
Kerry Pocock from Make a Space, said, “Items must be clean, ironed and in great condition. We will take clothes, bags, shoes, scarves and hats but please no supermarket or low cost brands. There will also be lots of lovely stalls to browse, plus a charity raffle and all items left over with be donated the hospice charity shops.”
