Camden in Westbourne - Lunch Review

Camden in Westbourne - Lunch Review

With so many great restaurant options in Westbourne we really are spoilt for choice. A popular destination is Camden, a bar and kitchen on Seamoor Road.

Many will know Camden from their successful bar in Ashley Cross, Poole. They've brought the same relaxed atmosphere to Westbourne and it seems to be one of the businesses that manages to be busy with a daytime crowd and also packed at night too.

We went in on a Saturday in November for a quick lunch. As well as tasty looking sharing plates they offer a comprehensive sandwich/baguette/bagel menu for lunches. We went for a brioche bun with chicken and pesto and a baguette with goats cheese and roasted vegetables. As standard these come with crisps but for a 50p upgrade you can get chips (hmmm, I wonder what we did!?). The kitchen weren't stingy with the fillings and the goats cheese was just melting on the chargrilled vegetables, and there were plenty of chips too!

There is a fully stocked bar, however for lunch we had an orange juice, water and a cappuccino, which was well made but small and a bit weak for my tastes.

The total for the two lunches with drinks was £17.40.
