Art and Makers Market

The Art & Makers Market, located in Westover Gardens, Bournemouth next to the new Aviary, was established over 60 years ago and is one of the largest, and longest running, open air art displays in the country. This is a free attraction run as not for profit by local creatives.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of the Lower gardens, the market boasts a diverse mix of artistic genres and artisan products, offering something to match every taste and suit every budget. Visitors can chat with local artists and independent makers, get to know them and their products, and walk away with great, original artworks, homeware, ceramics, fashion accessories, jewellery and much more!

This year’s Art & Makers Market runs from 6th May to 1st October, 11am till 5pm weekends and bank holidays.

Special events for 2023 include an Easter pop-up, King’s Coronation weekend, the Bournemouth Air Show and Arts by the Sea Festival, all running in collaboration with neighbouring Picnic Park Deli, with themed activities and live musical performances from local talent.
